Argentine Tango

Argentine Tango was born in the late 1800's in Buenos Aires, and has been changing and evolving ever since. It is a beautiful dance form that provides endless opportunity for improvisation and playfulness.

October-November Series (10/3 - 11/21 2023): Beyond the Beat: Playing With The Music

Progressive series with Leslie Gordon

Everyone will learn to lead and follow.

No need to bring partners, we switch regularly.

**No events 10/24, 11/7, 11/14 and 11/28 due to room availability and travelling.

7:00-8:00  Fundamentals- Playing With The Rhythm: 

Use the rhythms and phrasing to inspire your dancing. Play with quicks and slows. Introduction to milonga and vals . This series is ideal for new dancers, or experienced dancers working on fundamentals, or the other role. 

8:00-9:00  Fundamentals- Practica

Stay for the practice led by some of the advanced students. We will review the material from the first class, and other tango basics.

8:00-9:00  Intermediate+ - Playing with the Music:

Do you tend to repeat the same moves no matter what the music? Learn to connect to the music to inspire yourself and your partner. Match your dancing to the power of the music. Change your moves from soft to dramatic. Techniques for both leads and follows .
