Argentine Tango was born in the late 1800's in Buenos Aires, and has been changing and evolving ever since. It is a beautiful dance form that provides endless opportunity for improvisation and playfulness.
January Series (1/3 - 1/31 2023): Ochos and Sweeps
Progressive series with Leslie Gordon
Everyone will learn to lead and follow.
No need to bring partners, we switch regularly.
7:00-8:00 Fundamentals- All About Ochos:
Introduction to crossing steps and pivots that are the basis of most moves in tango. This series is ideal for new dancers, or experienced dancers working on fundamentals, or the other role.
8:00-9:00 Fundamentals- Practica
Stay for the practice led by some of the advanced students. We will review the material from the first class, and other tango basics.
8:00-9:00 Intermediate+ - Sweet Sweeps:
Take "playing with the feet" to the next level. We'll learn sweeps for both leads and follows, and discover how they can smoothly link together different steps.
February Series starts 2/7/23 Topics: Turns
