Argentine Tango was born in the late 1800's in Buenos Aires, and has been changing and evolving ever since. It is a beautiful dance form that provides endless opportunity for improvisation and playfulness.
September Series (9/3 - 9/24 2019): Close Variations
Progressive series with Leslie Gordon
Everyone will learn to lead and follow.
No need to bring partners, we switch regularly.
7:00-8:00 Fundamentals- Dancing Close:
What's special about close embrace, and why do all the tango dancers love it? We will cover all the basic movements so you can tart having fun in close. This series is ideal for new dancers, or experienced dancers working on fundamentals, or the other role.
8:00-9:00 Fundamentals- Practica
Stay for the practice led by some of the advanced students. We will review the material from the first class, and other tango basics.
8:00-9:00 Intermediate+ - Playing With the Free Leg:
Use core and connection to make the free leg musical. Change the quality of the movement: big, small, soft or dramatic. Key techniques for both leads and follows.
