Argentine Tango

Argentine Tango was born in the late 1800's in Buenos Aires, and has been changing and evolving ever since. It is a beautiful dance form that provides endless opportunity for improvisation and playfulness.

More than anything, tango is fun, social and addictive, and we're always trying to corrupt new people.

November Series (11/3 - 11/24  2026): Ochos and Reversals  

Progressive series with Leslie Gordon

Everyone will learn to lead and follow.

No need to bring partners, we switch regularly.

7:00-8:00  Fundamentals- All About Ochos: 

The main building block in tango. Learn the key lead and follow skills to make them work well. This series is ideal for new dancers, or experienced dancers working on fundamentals, or the other role. 

8:00-9:00  Fundamentals- Practica

Stay for the practice led by some of the advanced students. We will review the material from the first class, and other tango basics.

8:00-9:00  Intermediate+ - Reversals:

How do you change direction during a step? How does it produce feints, boleos, colgadas and volcadas? How does the follow respond with the foot or the body? Critical techniques for both leads and follows master these fun moves.

Alternative Milonga/Practica:      

9:00-11:00       -get your fix of alternative and classical music

                          -various DJ's

                          -large wooden floor to try your biggest

                            and wildest moves!

Cost:     November series (4 classes)- $50 ; students $44

                drop-in before 9 (for 1 or both classes)- $15; students $13                                                                             

                drop-in after 9- $8; students $5
