Argentine Tango was born in the late 1800's in Buenos Aires, and has been changing and evolving ever since. It is a beautiful dance form that provides endless opportunity for improvisation and playfulness.
October Series (10/2 - 10/30 2018): Giros y Barridas
Progressive series with Leslie Gordon
Everyone will learn to lead and follow.
No need to bring partners, we switch regularly.
7:00-8:00 Fundamentals- Turns from Ochos:
Introduction to all the basic turns in tango. Learn to move easily around the dance floor, in and out of turns from ochos and walking. This series is ideal for new dancers, or experienced dancers working on fundamentals, or the other role.
8:00-9:00 Fundamentals- Practica
Stay for the practice led by some of the advanced students. We will review the material from the first class, and other tango basics.
8:00-9:00 Intermediate+ - Sweet Sweeps:
Take "plauing with the feet" to the next level. We'll learn sweeps for both leads and follows, and discover how they can be used to smoothly link together different moves..

Milonga/Practica:
9:00-11:00 -get your fix of alternative and classical music
-various DJ's
-large wooden floor to try your biggest
and wildest moves!
Cost: October series (5 classes)- $50 ; students $40
drop-in before 9 (for 1 or both classes)- $12; students $10
drop-in after 9- $5; students $3
