Argentine Tango was born in the late 1800's in Buenos Aires, and has been changing and evolving ever since. It is a beautiful dance form that provides endless opportunity for improvisation and playfulness.
October Series (10/4 - 10/25 2016): Crossing
Progressive series with Leslie Gordon
Everyone will learn to lead and follow.
No need to bring partners, we switch regularly.
7:00-8:00 Fundamentals- Crossing the Feet:
Introduction to the cross and crossed system. Learn to play with the feet, and never be on the wrong foot again. This series is ideal for new dancers, or experienced dancers working on fundamentals, or the other role.
8:00-9:00 Fundamentals- Practica
Stay for the practice led by some of the advanced students. We will review the material from the first class, and other tango basics.
8:00-9:00 Intermediate+ - VolcadasI:
Explore the richness of the cross and take it to the next level. Follows learn to liberate your free leg, and leads learn to play with it. We will cross to the front and back, going off axis to become volcadas.
