Argentine Tango was born in the late 1800's in Buenos Aires, and has been changing and evolving ever since. It is a beautiful dance form that provides endless opportunity for improvisation and playfulness.
October Series (10/9 - 10/30 2012): Playing with the Feet
Progressive series with Leslie Gordon
Everyone will learn to lead and follow.
7:00-8:00 Fundamentals- Playing With Feet 101:
Learn to play with your partner's feet: touches, stops and sweeps. Never be on the "wrong" foot again. This series is ideal for new dancers, or experienced dancers working on fundamentals.
8:00-9:00 Fundamentals- Practica
Stay for the practice led by some of the advanced students. We will review the material from the first class, and othe tango basics.
8:00-9:00 Intermediate+ - Mastering Enganches-
Enganches (leg wraps) are one of tango's way to play with your legs. We will learn to explore the space between our partner's feet, and how to add wraps to your social dancing.
