May Series (5/3 - 5/31): Playing With Feet
** No Event May 24 **
Progressive series with Leslie Gordon
Everyone will learn to lead and follow.
7:00-8:00 Fundamentals- Playing With Feet 101:
We personalize tango by playing with rhythm and feet. We'll get comfortable playing with our partner's feet (both leads and follows): touches, stops and sweeps. Unlike other ballroom dances, tango has no wrong foot. You'll gain the confidence to never be on the wrong foot again! Perfect for beginners, or for polishing the fundamentals, and warming up for the intermediate class.
8:00-9:00 Fundamentals- Practica
Stay for the practice led by some of the advanced students. We will review the material from the first class, and other tango basics.
8:00-9:00 Intermediate+- Mastering Sacadas:
We'll start with a few basic sacadas, and learn how similar movements can give us very different results. We will take stepping between your partner's feet to the next level.
