Argentine Tango
Argentine Tango was born in the late 1800's in Buenos Aires, and has been changing and evolving ever since. It is a beautiful dance form that provides endless opportunity for improvisation and playfulness.
March Series (3/6 - 3/27 2012):
Progressive series with Leslie Gordon
Everyone will learn to lead and follow.
7:00-8:00 Fundamentals- Turns II:
Learn or perfect one of tango's key moves. What makes them great? We'll be playing with different entrances and exits, learning how add them to your dancing with style. This series is ideal for new dancers, or experienced dancers working on fundamentals.
8:00-9:00 Fundamentals- Practica
Stay for the practice led by some of the advanced students. We will review the material from the first class, and othe tango basics.
8:00-9:00 Intermediate+ - Levels of Sweeps
In tango we flirt with the feet, unlike any other dance. Leads and follows will learn to play with your partner's feet in social dancing. We will start with the small moves and progress through the bigger flasier ones..
