Argentine Tango
Argentine Tango was born in the late 1800's in Buenos Aires, and has been changing and evolving ever since. It is a beautiful dance form that provides endless opportunity for improvisation and playfulness.
Everyone will learn to lead and follow.
7:00-8:00 Fundamentals- Playing with the Feet:
Tango is all about playing: rhythm/adornments, changing systems and the cross. We'll show you what you can do with your feet, and how to play with your partner's. All the basics to get you out on the floor and dancing.. This series is ideal for new dancers, or experienced dancers working on fundamentals, or the other role.
8:00-9:00 Fundamentals- Practicchanging systems and the crossa
Stay for the practice led by some of the advanced students. We will review the material from the first class, and other tango basics.
8:00-9:00 Intermediate+ - Boleos!!:
Spice up your social dancing with fancy kicks to impress. How do they happen? How do they become beautiful and effortless? Follows will learn to give up control of their free leg, leads will learn to play with it.
