Argentine Tango was born in the late 1800's in Buenos Aires, and has been changing and evolving ever since. It is a beautiful dance form that provides endless opportunity for improvisation and playfulness.
July Series (7/10 - 7/31 2018): All About Music
Progressive series with Leslie Gordon
Everyone will learn to lead and follow.
No need to bring partners, we switch regularly.
7:00-8:00 Fundamentals- Playing with Rhythm 101:
Use the rhythms and the phrasing to inspire your dancing. Introduction to milonga and vals. This series is ideal for new dancers, or experienced dancers working on fundamentals, or the other role.
8:00-9:00 Fundamentals- Practica
Stay for the practice led by some of the advanced students. We will review the material from the first class, and other tango basics.
8:00-9:00 Intermediate+ - Mastering Music and Movement:
Do you tend to repeat the same moves no matter what the music? Does milonga make you uncomfortable? Learn to connect to the music to inspire yourself and your partners. Techniques for both leads and follows..
Summer Break 6/12-7/3- No classes or milongas. Back to normal starting 7/10/18
