Argentine Tango was born in the late 1800's in Buenos Aires, and has been changing and evolving ever since. It is a beautiful dance form that provides endless opportunity for improvisation and playfulness.
January Series (1/9 - 1/30 2018): Close Embrace
Progressive series with Leslie Gordon
Everyone will learn to lead and follow.
No need to bring partners, we switch regularly.
7:00-8:00 Fundamentals- Close Embrace 101
What's the difference with close embrace, why do all the dancers love it? We will get you comfortable with walking and ochos, and having fun in close. This series is ideal for new dancers, or experienced dancers working on fundamentals, or the other role.
8:00-9:00 Fundamentals- Practica
Stay for the practice led by some of the advanced students. We will review the material from the first class, and other tango basics.
8:00-9:00 Intermediate+ - Learning to Love Close Embrace:
We will polish your techniques for connection, axis, and changing embrace and distance. We will work on an entire group of moves that are best in close. Techniques for both leads and follows.

Milonga/Practica:
9:00-11:00 -get your fix of alternative and classical msic
-various DJ's
-large wooden floor to try your biggest
and wildest moves!
Cost: January series (4 classes)- $40 ; students $32
drop-in before 9 (for 1 or both classes)- $12; students $10
drop-in after 9- $5; students $3
