Argentine Tango

Argentine Tango was born in the late 1800's in Buenos Aires, and has been changing and evolving ever since. It is a beautiful dance form that provides endless opportunity for improvisation and playfulness.

February Series (2/6 - 2/27 2018):  Crossed Steps
Progressive series with Leslie Gordon
Everyone will learn to lead and follow.
No need to bring partners, we switch regularly.

7:00-8:00  Fundamentals-  Ochos!!

These are the signature crossing steps in tango. They are the basis of all intermediate and advanced moves. This series is ideal for new dancers, or experienced dancers working on fundamentals, or the other role.

8:00-9:00  Fundamentals- Practica

Stay for the practice led by some of the advanced students. We will review the material from the first class, and other tango basics.

8:00-9:00  Intermediate+ -  Exploring Ganchos:

Fancy kicks between and around your partner's legs to impress your friends. Learn to do them safely and socially. We will learn ganchos for both leads and follows, and how to encourage them.

                         and wildest moves!

Cost:    February series (4 classes)- $40 ; students $32            
drop-in before 9 (for 1 or both classes)- $12; students $10 
                drop-in after 9- $5; students $3
