Argentine Tango
Argentine Tango was born in the late 1800's in Buenos Aires, and has been changing and evolving ever since. It is a beautiful dance form that provides endless opportunity for improvisation and playfulness.
April Series (4/3 - 4/24 2012):
Progressive series with Leslie Gordon
Everyone will learn to lead and follow.
7:00-8:00 Fundamentals- The Cross and Crossed System:
The cross is unique to tango, and adds style and flavor to your dance. Learning the crossed system means never being on the "wrong" foot again. This series is ideal for new dancers, or experienced dancers working on fundamentals.
8:00-9:00 Fundamentals- Practica
Stay for the practice led by some of the advanced students. We will review the material from the first class, and othe tango basics.
8:00-9:00 Intermediate+ - Levels of the Cross-
Create your own signature moves with crosses to both sides, high crosses, back crosses and off-axis crosses (volcadas). Add your own flair to crosses as a follower.
