Argentine Tango was born in the late 1800's in Buenos Aires, and has been changing and evolving ever since. It is a beautiful dance form that provides endless opportunity for improvisation and playfulness.
April Series (4/2-4/30 2013): Playing with the Rhythm and Music
Progressive series with Leslie Gordon
Everyone will learn to lead and follow.
7:00-8:00 Fundamentals- Playing with the Rhythms 101:
Learn to play with rhythm and phrasing. Add quicks, slows and pauses to colour your dancing. All the basics to get you having fun with any music and any partner. This series is ideal for new dancers, or experienced dancers working on fundamentals.
8:00-9:00 Fundamentals- Practica
Stay for the practice led by some of the advanced students. We will review the material from the first class, and othe tango basics.
8:00-9:00 Intermediate+ - Mastering Rhythms and Musicality-
Do you find that you like the song, but can't seem to express it in your dance? You get bored with your moves? Learn to let the music motivate your dancing, and inspire your partners. We'll show how both the lead and follow can share their musicality, and make every dance unique.
