Argentine Tango
Argentine Tango was born in the late 1800's in Buenos Aires, and has been changing and evolving ever since. It is a beautiful dance form that provides endless opportunity for improvisation and playfulness.
June Series (6/3 - 6/24 2025): Ochos and Boleos
Progressive series with Leslie Gordon
Everyone will learn to lead and follow.
No need to bring partners, we switch regularly.
7:00-8:00 Fundamentals- All About Ochos:
Introduction to pivots and crossing steps that are the basis of most moves in tango . This series is ideal for new dancers, or experienced dancers working on fundamentals, or the other role.
8:00-9:00 Fundamentals- Practica
Stay for the practice led by some of the advanced students. We will review the material from the first class, and other tango basics.
8:00-9:00 Intermediate+ - Beyond the Beat- Rotational Boleos:
Ochos interrupted! Fancy kicks to impress. How do they happen? As follows we’ll learn to give up control of our free leg. As leads we’ll learn to play with it. Spice up your social dancing.

Milonga/Practica:
9:00-11:00 -get your fix of alternative and classical music

-large wooden floor to try your biggest
and wildest moves!

Cost: June series (4 classes)- $40 ; students $32
drop-in before 9 (for 1 or both classes)- $12; students $10
